Pile Surveys

National Cargo Bureau, Inc. is regularly appointed by various clients to conduct Bulk Cargo Pile Quantity Surveys. These surveys are conducted at marine terminals and other storage facilities to determine the amount of bulk cargo present.

These surveys include the following:

• Dry cargo piles are measured utilizing various methods to determine the volumetric quantity of cargo.
• Quantity calculations are reported in volumetric units. However, the mass may be reported as well if the density or stowage factor is provided.
