Product Overview

This 10-hour training program is intended to provide entry-level safety and health hazard information tailored specifically to Marine Terminal employees.  Objectives include:

  • Providing employees, supervisors and managers, the skills to recognize, avoid, control, abate and prevent injuries and accidents in the maritime environment.
  • Informing workers about their rights and their employer’s responsibilities and explaining how to file a complaint with OSHA.
  • Educating workers on a variety of safety topics which workers may encounter at a Marine Terminal or related maritime site.

Topics covered during the course of training include walking and working surfaces, fall protection, marine cargo handling gear and equipment, electrical hazards, hazardous materials and hazard communications, fire protection and hot work, personal protective equipment, machine guarding and opioid awareness.
