Grain Stability Reviews

Product Overview

National Cargo Bureau, Inc. conducts Grain Stability Reviews in conjunction with the issuance of Certificates of Readiness and Certificates of Loading for Bulk Grain. These reviews ensure compliance with the International Grain Code and the applicable sections of 46CFR.

In addition Grain Stability Reviews may be conducted for the following reasons:

  • A preliminary stability review to determine suitability to load grain for chartering purposes.
  • Intermediate stability review during loading when quantities or destinations change.

To complete the review, the National Cargo Bureau Surveyor makes relevant notations on the Grain Stability Calculation and signs his/her name as evidence of the examination.

A Stability Review may be conducted for purposes of a single voyage authorization.
