Product Overview

Learn the essentials of safe and compliant flatrack cargo securing.

Flatracks are essential for transporting oversized and irregularly shaped cargo, but their open design presents unique securing challenges. This course provides logistics and shipping professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to secure cargo safely and in line with international regulations.

The training builds on NCB’s more comprehensive and USCG-approved correspondence course “Securing Non-Standardized Cargo (Annex 13 Course)”.

This course is ideal for shippers, stevedores, freight forwarders, shipping line personnel, surveyors, ships’ officers, and other marine cargo professionals who are involved in securing non-standardized cargo on flatracks. Whether you are new to flatrack operations or looking to refresh your knowledge, this course equips you with the practical skills and regulatory understanding needed for safe and compliant cargo transport.

The course consists of a morning in the classroom followed by an afternoon of hands-on training, during which securing methods specific to flatracks and cargo on-site are demonstrated and critiqued.
